# TradersPost

> TradersPost is a cloud-based, no-code, event-driven trading automation platform that connects trade signals to broker, exchange, and prop firm accounts. Users generate signals using platforms such as TradingView, TrendSpider, custom code, or TradersPost Command Pad, and TradersPost automatically translates those signals into executed orders across one or more connected accounts.

## What TradersPost Is

TradersPost acts as an automation layer between signal generation and trade execution.

The typical workflow is:

1. Connect a broker, exchange, or prop firm account
2. Create a strategy
3. Create a subscription linking the strategy to the account
4. Generate trade signals
5. TradersPost receives the signals and executes trades automatically

TradersPost supports stocks, options, futures, prop firm futures, and cryptocurrency spot trading. Forex is not currently supported.

## What TradersPost Is Not

- TradersPost is designed for independent retail traders, not institutions or fund managers
- TradersPost is not a high-frequency trading platform and is not intended for sub-minute trading strategies
- TradersPost does not provide trade signals, alerts, research, investment advice, or portfolio management
- TradersPost is not a broker
- TradersPost is not an exchange
- TradersPost is non-custodial and does not hold, transmit, or manage customer funds
- TradersPost does not execute trades without user-configured signals or instructions
- TradersPost does not support forex trading
- TradersPost does not support multi-leg options spreads or complex options strategies (directional calls and puts only)

## Core Terminology

### Strategy

A configuration that receives trade signals through a unique webhook URL.

### Subscription

A connection between a strategy and a broker, exchange, or prop firm account. Subscriptions define position sizing, risk management, and execution behavior.

### Signal

A JSON payload describing a trading action such as entering, exiting, buying, or selling a position.

### Webhook

An HTTP endpoint that receives trade signals from external platforms and custom applications.

### Connection

A linked broker, exchange, or prop firm account that can receive trade executions.

### Command Pad

A Chrome extension that lives in the browser side panel and allows discretionary traders to place trades with one click from supported charting platforms including TradingView, Tradovate, TrendSpider, and others.
