Max strategy positions
- This broker setting is deprecated and will be removed in a future TradersPost release. It cannot be strictly enforced: for example, if you send two signals for two different tickers at the same time and max strategy positions is 1, both trades can still execute because the limit is checked before execution while trades run in parallel. That uncertainty is one reason we are retiring the feature; it also adds work on the trade path that slows execution.
While it remains available, TradersPost counts each unique ticker symbol as an open position from your current holdings. The limit is the number of distinct tickers, not share or contract size within a position.
