Position Side Disabled

This message indicates that a new position cannot be entered for the specified ticker because the strategy settings only allow trades on one side (Long or Short). TradersPost requires that the action aligns with the Allowed sides that is configured in the strategy settings when using action=buy or action=sell. If the action does not match the allowed sides, the trade will be rejected.

• action=buy will not enter long positions when Allowed sides is set to Short.
• action=sell will not enter short positions when Allowed sides is set to Long.

The action=reverse is not restricted by Allowed sides; it always exits the current position and enters the opposite side.

Ensure that action=buy and action=sell align with the Allowed sides configured in the strategy settings. If you want to enter positions on both the long and short sides with buy/sell, set Allowed sides to Both in the strategy settings.
