Position Appeared Before Entry

An open {{ refreshedOpenPositionSide }} {{ refreshedOpenPositionQty }} {{ refreshedOpenPositionSymbol }} position appeared in the broker while waiting for orders to cancel, so the planned {{ entryOrderSide }} entry was not submitted. Submitting it would have stacked on unexpected exposure.

This message indicates that while TradersPost was waiting for open orders to cancel, a position appeared in your broker on the same side as the planned entry, and your subscription does not allow adding to an open position.

The trade was planned from a flat account: cancel open orders, then submit an entry that would open a new position. Before that entry was submitted, something else opened a position in the broker — for example an open order filled while the cancel was in flight, another strategy traded the same ticker, or you traded at the broker yourself.

If TradersPost submitted the planned entry on top of that unexpected position, it would stack size you did not intend. Because Allow add to position is off (and the signal was not an add action), TradersPost stops the trade and does not submit the entry order.

If you want mid-wait same-side fills to continue as adds, enable Allow add to position on the subscription or send "action": "add" in the signal. Otherwise, review your position and recent orders at the broker, then send a new signal when the account is flat (or when you intend to add).
