Position Changed Before Entry

An open {{ refreshedOpenPositionSide }} {{ refreshedOpenPositionQty }} {{ refreshedOpenPositionSymbol }} position appeared in the broker while waiting for orders to cancel, so the planned {{ entryOrderSide }} entry was not submitted. The live position is on the opposite side of the planned entry, so the entry would no longer open from flat.

This message indicates that while TradersPost was waiting for open orders to cancel, a position appeared in your broker on the opposite side of the planned entry.

The trade was planned from a flat account: cancel open orders, then submit an entry that would open a new position. Before that entry was submitted, something else opened a position on the other side — for example an open order filled while the cancel was in flight, another strategy traded the same ticker, or you traded at the broker yourself.

Submitting the planned entry would no longer open from flat; it would trade against the live exposure. TradersPost stops the trade and does not submit the entry order. This applies even when Allow add to position is enabled, because an add must be the same side as the open position.

This is different from a same-side appearance when adds are disallowed, and from an add plan whose open position flips side during the wait.

Review your position and your recent orders at the broker. Send a new signal when the account is flat or when the open position matches what you expect.
